Fall Solstice 2024

One month later, we're making progress. Each day, the dogs and I walk through tall grasses, getting the land ready for next year's crops. We are focusing on education, communication, and technology. We plan to launch a young adult magazine about nature, art, and education, aiming for our first issue in Fall 2025. If you are a kid or have kids, we will have an opportunity for them to have their work featured in the magazine. We are seeking young artists ages 4-16 to provide their interpretation of what fall means to them. Keep it kind, keep it respectful. Please email amber@thebraxtonfoundation.org to have your submission reviewed for entry.

We've connected with various people eager to discuss ideas in a journalism/podcast format. Soon, we will release episodes 2 and 3 of our podcast, along with materials educational downloads. We are also acquiring a small portable workshop to bring our efforts together and spend more time on-site. As winter approaches, we'll focus more on low-cost, bio-inspired solutions. Talking with friends, I've found a high demand for irrigation, and I have some ideas! Lastly, while searching for a fiscal sponsor, I met someone at the Pacific Institute of North America who encouraged me to submit ideas for a contest. It inspired me, and I'm excited for a greener future!
